Why Attend?

Our mission is to Connect the Scientific Community. This means bringing you to a comfortable atmosphere and encouraging the exchange of scientific information with other researchers. It means allowing young scientists to present their data and receive input from others working on similar topics.

It means providing a location that gives long-time colleagues and first-time acquaintances the ability to connect in a way more meaningful than e-mail or phone communication - perhaps by participating in activities that help develop relationships and create "once-in-a-lifetime" experiences.

Look through our web site for detailed descriptions of the symposia and their locations. When you decide on the topic best suited for you, register online or give us a call. Then you will be on your way to a wonderful place to experience excellent science at a well-organized and welcoming conference.

Here are some customer comments made on surveys at the end of various symposia in 2005:

"I will start of by saying that I almost never answer these surveys. But, I wanted to point out to the organizers of the meeting and Keystone Symposia organization how valuable the Biology of Hypoxia Meeting was.

I am a microbiologist studying the effects of oxygen on pathogenesis. I can unequivocally state that the Biology of Hypoxia meeting was the single most important conference that I have ever attended. It helped me develop a set of research goals that now direct my lab's research. I do not think I would have developed these goals without hearing about the major concepts about the role of oxygen in biological processes. In addition, the meeting allowed me to develop collaborations with numerous investigators that impact many aspects of my research."
"The major benefit for me of these meetings is to meet other scientists and foster collaborations. At this particular meeting I made two such contacts which have evolved into a joint publication and several manuscripts in preparation.

This was therefore an extremely successful meeting for me in this regard and I will be back in 06!"
"As a psychologist studying the molecular basis of drug addiction and depression, this meeting allowed me to get exposure to the biochemistry of NFKB signaling and since then I have made a good amount of progress utilizing this information to understand how NFKB signaling is involved in these psychiatric disorders."
