About Big Sky Resort
| General Information |
Big Sky Resort lies nestled in the heart of the Rocky Mountains in the shadow of majestic Lone Peak. The lodges themselves are warm and welcoming places to socialize with other scientists. Big Sky Resort is a ski-in /ski-out facility with access to some truly exceptional snow. Other recreational activities include cross-country skiing, backcountry skiing, snowshoeing, dog sledding, a fitness center, spa, swimming pool, hot tub and access to nearby Yellowstone National Park (51 miles or 83 km). As the area is something special to visit, a rental car is recommended for driving tours.

Attendees with Special Needs
- Tip #1: When traveling to the United States be sure to contact your Embassy for current Entry Requirements. To locate an Embassy near you visit http://embassyinformation.com. For USA Visa information visit http://travel.state.gov/visa/visa_1750.html.
- Tip #2: Taxi service is not available at Big Sky Resort. To explore the area conveniently rental cars are suggested. Big Sky Resort has many restaurants and shops within walking distance, however be prepared for winter weather conditions.
- Tip #3: Use the message board at the meeting to find other conferees interested in additional activities (skiing, snowboarding, hiking, cross country skiing, shopping and sight seeing, etc.) by posting your contact information and activity of interest. Check the message board at the meeting.
- Tip #4: Spouses are able to receive full day discount lift tickets by purchasing lift tickets with the attending participant.

- Conference Center Notes: The Conference Center is located within the same complex as the Huntley Lodge and Shoshone Condominiums. The Summit Lodge is located a short distance away across a shoveled walkway. Remember to include clothing and shoes suitable to winter weather.

- Shuttle Information: A free skier shuttle, Skyline Bus, circulates the Meadow, Mountain and Canyon areas approximately every 30 minutes. Visit www.skylinebus.com for schedule and more details. For further exploration of the surrounding area and West Yellowstone National Park a rental car in recommended.
- Travel information for getting to Big Sky Resort (Directions from airport, etc.)
Food/Dining Notes: The food included will be: buffet breakfast (each day of the meeting except departure day) coffee breaks, and social hour with light snacks during poster sessions. However the food offered varies site by site. Menus for daily food offered will be posted as well as menus for the area. Social Hour is provided to give conferees an opportunity to socialize, have a light snack and participate in the poster session. Limited seating is available.

Tips/Other Notes:
- Although the Huntley Lodge, Shoshone Lodge and the Summit Lodge are located close together, conferees may need winter weather clothing to facilitate exploring the area around the resort.

WEATHER NOTE:
Even if you are NOT participating in outdoor activities we suggest you bring clothes appropriate for local weather temperatures.
The meetings are "resort casual" in dress (khakis, jeans, casual shirts, sweaters). Clothes that can be layered for outdoor/indoor environment will work best.
