The Fairmont Banff Springs was designed and built in 1888 with a style reminiscent of a stately 19th century Scottish baronial castle. Set in the heart of the spectacular Canadian Rocky Mountains, Banff Springs has easy access to Johnston Canyon, Banff Upper Hot Springs and many other natural wonders. Attendees with Special Needs
- Tip #1: The Fairmont Banff Springs charges a fee for parking. Shuttles are available to downtown Banff. You can also walk to downtown along a maintained sidewalk or on a nature trail. Either walk will take no longer than 20 minutes. Outdoor winter clothing and shoes are highly suggested.
- Tip #2: There is a per person/vehicle fee charged for entrance into Banff National Park.
- Tip #3: Spouses are able to receive full day discount lift tickets by purchasing lift tickets with the attending participant.

Getting Around the Conference Area:

- Conference Center Notes: The Conference Center is located within the same building as the guest rooms. It is not necessary to walk outdoors to reach the Conference Center.
- Shuttle Information: For travel between Fairmont Banff Springs and downtown there are several options: Taxi's cost approximately $7 one-way. There is a city bus that runs every 40 minutes at a cost of $2 per person, one-way. It is also possible to walk from the hotel to downtown in approximately 15 minutes. Food/Dining Notes: The food included will be: buffet breakfast (each day of the meeting except departure day) coffee breaks, and social hour with light snacks during poster sessions. However the food offered varies site by site. Menus for daily food offered will be posted as well as menus for the area. WEATHER NOTE:
Even if you are NOT participating in outdoor activities we suggest you bring clothes appropriate for local weather temperatures.
The meetings are "resort casual" in dress (khakis, jeans, casual shirts, sweaters). Clothes that can be layered for outdoor/indoor environment will work best.
