Please be advised that a few meeting participants have received calls and emails from a number of different housing services - "Exhibitors Housing Services", "Global Housing", etc. THESE COMPANIES ARE NOT AFFILIATED WITH KEYSTONE SYMPOSIA and are not authorized by Keystone Symposia to contact you. These companies may tell you that the meeting is filling and seek to take your lodging reservation and obtain your credit card number. We highly recommend that you not make a reservation with these companies or any other housing service! These companies' representations to participants have been misleading. Please report to Keystone Symposia any calls or correspondence you might have received and book only through the lodging link on our website, an established travel agency, or directly with the hotel.

Keystone Symposia has received funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to subsidize a limited number of registration fees for those studying or conducting research in Africa. Preference will be given to students and postdoctoral fellows. This money is intended to enable individuals to attend the meeting who would not otherwise be able to participate. Applicants should send an email to the address below, identifying themselves, their occupation (student or postdoctoral fellow), their study program (if applicable), institution, and requesting an award, with a statement of less than 200 words on why it would benefit their training or career plans.

The email should be sent by midnight US Mountain Time on February 23, 2016. We will notify awardees as soon as possible after that, and then we will contact them to help them register with no fee. Awardees are responsible for travel costs, as well as lodging costs if they are unable to commute on a daily basis to the meeting.

(We will also notify those whose applications were declined, and do so before the discounted registration deadline of March 22, 2016. If they have other ways to pay the registration fee, they will still have time to register at the discounted registration rate.)
