Hiking

Hiking in the high country of New Mexico during the fall and winter may require the same gear as skiing. For suggested day hikes in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, please inquire with the concierge, or visit All Trails - Santa Fe.
Historic and Cultural Tour of Old Santa Fe -- featured on "Good Morning America" and led by professional museum docent guides from Santa Fe and covers the most historic sites in Santa Fe's downtown historic district, including St. Francis Cathedral (Basilica) & Loretto Chapel. The professional guides provide enriching commentary on the history, culture, geology, art & architecture of old Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico. They also share great tips on Santa Fe's finest retail and most authentic Native American art. Tour cost includes professional guide fees (gratuity not included) and entrance fee to Loretto Chapel.
Chimayo: This tour is a very popular half-day tour to the charming old Spanish village to visit the famous Santuario de Chimayo (known for the healing "miraculous earth") and view the magnificent and authentic weavings of the historic Trujillo family at Centinela Weavers. We conclude for lunch at the lovely old hacienda, Rancho de Chimayo.

Skiing
The 12,075-foot summit at Ski Santa Fe — part of the majestic Sangre de Cristo mountain range — boasts 1,725 vertical feet of skiing and 83 runs winding through some of the most stunning terrain in the country. Six lifts transport 9,350 skiers per hour high over giant pines and the beckoning, perfect powder typical of New Mexico. Complimentary buses to Santa Fe Ski Area are provided by Keystone Symposia and will depart after the morning session.

Ski Area Notes:
It takes approximately 45 minutes to reach Ski Santa Fe. A free shuttle will be provided on certain days by Keystone Symposia for transportation to the ski area. More information will be available on-site.
Snowshoeing trails are located on the road leading up to the Santa Fe Ski Area, however a private car with 4-wheel drive will be necessary to access these trails. Ask the concierge for information about snowshoeing.
Wine Country
New Mexico prides itself on its wine. There are a few tasting rooms in Santa Fe, ask your hotels concierge about these locations. With a private car you can also access some vineyards in Dixon, NM off Highway 68. Ask your concierge for directions.
