Keystone Symposia Travel - FAQs

Dresden International Airport (DRS) is the recommended airport for this conference. For specific airport information, visit Dresden Airport.

Because Dresden Airport is somewhat smaller with less flight options, attendees may prefer to fly into one of the larger airports in the vicinity such as Berlin-Schonefeld (SXF), Vaclav Havel Airport Prague (PRG), or Leipzig/Halle Airport (LEJ). Each of these options is about 75-90 minutes away by car/taxi or can be reached by train.

Rail Service S-Bahn line S2 connects Dresden Airport with the Dresden Mitte station in about 15 minutes. The Dresden Mitte station is a 5-10 minute walk from the Maritim Hotel. Dresden Airport station is on the lower ground floor of the terminal building. Modern double-decker trains run every 30 minutes. A single ticket in the Dresden fare zone costs € 2,20 (valid on S-Bahn, tram and bus). This makes the S2 one of the cheapest airport shuttle services in Germany. Tickets can be obtained at the ticket machine at the station and from the airport information desk on the arrivals level in the terminal.

Taxi and transfer services The taxi journey between the airport and Dresden city centre costs around € 20. The taxi stands are directly in front of the terminal entrances and exits.
