Due to the constantly changing nature of travel, we urge people to research their own travel requirements. This includes Passport and Visa requirements, documentation for re-entry into country of residence and any other identification needed. Please allow sufficient time in advance of the meeting for processing of all necessary documentation.

Be sure to confirm air and hotel arrangements at least 24 hours in advance of departure. As a reminder, never leave your wallet and passport unattended while traveling, and have photocopies of all identification and credit cards in case of theft or loss.

Although Kyoto does not have its own airport, you can get to the city via Kansai International Airport and Itami Airport in Osaka. The Westin Miyako Kyoto is located 3 miles from the main Kyoto train station, 65 miles from Kansai Int'l Airport, and 35 miles from Itami Int'l Airport. The hotel does run a complimentary shuttle bus to/from Kyoto Station and there is a subway stop (Keage Station) less than 500 meters from the hotel. Train travel is advised to/from the hotel but there are also shuttle buses that leave from Kyoto station. Check out all your options with approximate rates and distances here

Railway Service operated by JR West carries passengers from Kansai Airport to Kyoto Station in 75 minutes. Tickets can be purchased for approximately 3500 YEN one-way. For information regarding times and fares please visit Japan Railways Group.

Bus service via Kansai Airport Limousine carries passengers from Kansai Airport to Kyoto Station in approximately 95 minutes. Bus stops at the Kansai International Airport are located outside the International Arrivals floor of the Passenger Terminal Building (1st floor center). Tickets can be purchased for approximately 3,800 YEN round-trip from the ticket vending machines located outside the Passenger Terminal Building on the 1st floor. The Westin Miyako Kyoto is located 31 miles from Kansai Int'l Airport. Travel Meishin Expressway North and exit via Kyoto-Minami Interchange onto Route 1. Proceed on Route 1 to Gojo Street. Turn left from Gojo Street onto Kawabata Street and then right onto Sanjo. The hotel is on the right. Click here to view map.
