Keystone Symposia Travel - FAQs

London Heathrow Airport (LHR) is the recommended airport for this conference. For specific airport information, visit London Heathrow Airport.

London Gatwick Airport (LGW) is another option albeit much smaller for travel into and out of London. For specific airport information, visit London Gatwick Airport.

Direct private car transfers to/from Heathrow and Gatwick can be arranged with the Park Plaza Riverbank's concierge team by using this form. Follow the directions on the form to submit and pay. One way transfers start at £75 and the price depends on the number of people travelling and the airport you are travelling to/from. This is the easiest and fastest option for airport transfers.

For more economical options, consider making use of the extensive public transportation network in London. Underground (Tube/Metro) service direct from Heathrow Airport on the Piccadilly Line, changing onto the Victoria Line at Green Park to Vauxhall Station at the cost of £6.- at any time. Vauxhall station is about a 10 walk or 3 minute cab ride from the Park Plaza Riverbank. For a full map of the Metro system, click here.

Heathrow Express (standard single ticket costing £22, return £36) leaves every 15 minutes, arriving at London Paddington approximately 15 minutes later. From there you need to get either a cab to the Hotel (around £20) or Underground service (take the Bakerloo Line to Oxford Circus where you change onto the Southbound Victoria Line to Vauxhall Station). On arrival at Vauxhall Station, leave via exit number 3. You will need to cross over Kennington Lane by the metal footbridge. Continue in the same direction on foot approximately 10 minutes and you will find the Hotel on your right hand side.

For all of your transfer and ground transportation needs to/from Gatwick Airport click here.

From London Heathrow

  • As you leave the airport, take the M4 east to the A4 eastbound
  • Take a right to get on A3220 and continue as it goes east along the river and becomes A3212 and Grosvenor Rd.
  • Take a right on A20 and go across the bridge and river and then a left onto Albert Embankment (A3036)
  • Distance is approximately 18 miles (30 km)
  • The drive takes approximately 30 minutes but because of heavy traffic along the route it usually takes up to an hour.

Although driving is an option while visiting London, many people choose to take advantage of London's incredible network of public transportation.
