Meetings at This Location

The village of Alpbach has a population of 2,500 and occupies a beautiful location on a plateau at some 1000m above sea level. Alpbach is also known as the " Village of Thinkers." Every year since 1945, Alpbach has been hosting the famous " European Forum Alpbach", representatives from the fields of science, politics, culture and trade and industry.

The new Congress Centrum Alpbach was built in character with its surroundings. The Congress Centrum is a refreshing combination of traditional and modern elements in contemporary architecture with most of the structure embedded in the mountain slope. The design of the building represents a clear commitment to today's spirit of respect for the natural environment, combining the aesthetic benefits of a truly small footprint. With over 160Km of footpaths and hiking trails, Alpbachtal valley is a paradise for walkers and hikers of all ability levels: explore gently rolling hills, precipitous rock faces, lush green Alpine pastures and much more. . . Walking, mountaineering, swimming in pools or lakes, mountain biking, paragliding, tennis, . . . or just relaxing in surroundings of great natural charm . Alpbach has something for everyone!
