Summary of Meeting:
Upon completion of this conference, participants should appreciate and understand: - Appreciate the challenge of selecting structural genomics targets that will both increase our knowledge of the protein structure universe and enhance biomedical research. - Understand automated approaches to high-throughput sample preparation for solution NMR spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography. - Identify strategies for automated data reduction, structure determination, refinement, and PDB deposition. - Learn approaches to functional annotation of new protein structures that incorporate information from phylogeny, gene expression profiling, protein-protein interaction maps, gene knockout studies, and biochemical/biophysical analyses. - Understand the role of high-throughput structural studies of protein-ligand complexes in drug discovery.
Discounted Abstract Deadline: December 15 2003
