Molecular Mechanisms of DNA Replication and Recombination
Organizer(s): Kenneth J. Marians and Rodney J. RothsteinDate: January 07 - 13, 2002
Location: Snowbird Resort, Snowbird, UT, USA
The Keystone Symposium on DNA Replication and Recombination is the only meeting of its type that draws large numbers of participants from both fields. The meeting has been designed to have comprehensive coverage of central aspects of the fields, including the traditional studies of biochemical mechanisms, how structural biology is informing studies of biochemical mechanisms, how understanding biochemical mechanisms is informing our understanding of the biology of the systems, and how the molecular genetics of the maintenance of genome integrity is revealing new targets and directing studies of biochemical mechanisms. The last meeting of this type was held in February 1999. Since then there have been many significant developments that should make the 2002 meeting both a timely and exciting one.
