University of Hong Kong/Croucher Foundation Travel Awards

Keystone Symposia has received a grant from the University of Hong Kong and the Croucher Foundation to fund travel awards. University of Hong Kong/Croucher Foundation Travel Awards enable attendance of students, postdoctoral fellows and regional scientists from East, South, and Southeast Asia to attend this conference.

Keystone Symposia encourages all eligible applicants (see country list below) to apply for these valuable awards. The award will help defray the expenses of conference attendance up to 2,000 USD to include: registration, lodging, airfare and ground transportation from/to host airport to the conference site. Awardees will be responsible for arranging their own travel. Receipts will be required to receive reimbursement of listed expenses. Awardees should be prepared for any unexpected costs of travel that may arise, such as those associated with flight changes, visa application fees, etc. The awardee accepts responsibility for such costs.

  • The amount of the awards will be up to 2,000 USD. Registration fees will be paid in-kind and deducted from the 2,000 USD award total.
  • Awards will be based on review of application content by the CEO and/or CSO of Keystone Symposia.
  • The number of awards is contingent on funding received for this program.

Main criteria for selection are as follows:

  • The application articulates why participation in the meeting would benefit the applicant's research endeavors.
  • The application includes some indication that the applicant's participation will have an impact beyond the applicant alone, e.g., initiation of new collaborations, teaching, etc.
