Named Fund Opportunities
Keystone Symposia is happy to be able to offer named fund opportunities to donors who wish to establish a legacy of personal or organizational support for our scientific mission. A named fund is an especially meaningful way to honor a mentor or loved one(s), or to help define your own legacy in support of specific Keystone Symposia programs of particular importance to you.
Named funds, whether scholarship, travel award or meeting support funds, will be recognized in perpetuity on all Keystone Symposia acknowledgement platforms, including Keystone Symposia websites (viewed by hundreds of thousands of scientific investigators per year) and slide loop presentations (seen by some 13,000 investigators annually) and annual reports.
The minimum amount to create named funds is as follows:
- Named Scholarship Fund: 30,000 USD
- Named Underrepresented Trainee Scholarship Fund: 30,000 USD
- Named Travel Awards Fund: 100,000 USD
- Named Meeting Support Fund: 500,000 USD
An initial gift of less than the minimum amount to create an endowed fund with a signed pledge to bring the fund to the minimum amount within a three-year period will be acceptable to place a fund into a named or unnamed endowment. Any such fund which has not attained a book value of the minimum amount within three years will revert to the general unrestricted quasi-endowment, and funds will be set aside for investment, with earnings used at the discretion of the Board of Directors.
Named funds can be established via outright donations or through planned gifts from your estate. If this is something you would like to explore, please contact Deanna Haas via email or by phone at +1 800-253-0685 or +1 970-262-2676.
