Meeting Summary

Therapeutic antibodies have changed the clinical landscape of therapeutics across multiple disease areas in recent decades. More than 160 drugs have now been approved including antibody fragments, Fc-engineered antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates, and bispecific antibodies. Next-generation antibody therapies with innovative mechanisms of action, new molecular formats, and the ability to leverage novel biology and targets are on the horizon.

This Keystone Symposia conference on Antibodies as Drugs: Engineering Next-Generation Therapeutics will highlight novel computational design and engineering approaches that are transforming biomolecular design and helping to overcome challenges of existing therapies. Both classical methods of antibody engineering and AI/ML based de novo antibody design and optimization will be explored. Sessions are designed to help attendees understand how new technologies translate to better therapeutic candidates and clinical advancement.

The conference will bring together experts and innovators from academia, industry, and biotech that encompass the transformative innovation in the field of next-generation antibodies, and the plenary sessions will recognize the parallel themes facing next-generation antibodies for indications including cancer, immunity and infection, inflammation, metabolic, neurological, and rare diseases. Symposia Spotlights and poster sessions will facilitate in-depth exchange between senior and early-career attendees and inspire novel ideas, connections, and collaborations.

This conference will enable attendees to better understand next-generation antibodies and how they are being developed for clinical impact. It integrates the latest technologies and novel targets for biologics as well as provides unique connections across researchers working in the drug translation pipeline that are not available at other meetings.
