Meeting Summary

About This Meeting:

Cancer immunotherapy has advanced dramatically through checkpoint inhibition and engineered cell therapies, yet critical gaps remain in understanding resistance mechanisms, optimizing innate cell targeting, and translating emerging technologies into clinical practice. Success increasingly depends on interdisciplinary collaborative breakthroughs that bridge molecular discoveries with therapeutic innovation.

This Keystone Symposia conference on Cancer Immunotherapy: Bridging Basic Research and Clinical Translation will foster interactions among stakeholders that do not normally interact and feature new approaches targeting innate cells, application of model systems that replicate aspects of human cancer to inform new therapeutic approaches, protein engineering and materials science to bridge gaps in treatment, and the latest innovations regarding T cell state regulation and application of checkpoint therapy in the clinic.

By convening immunologists, oncologists, technologists, and engineers from academia and industry, this meeting creates a forum where diverse expertise converges to align basic research discoveries with clinical translation and therapeutic development.

This conference is uniquely designed to connect stakeholders who do not normally interact, fostering the cross-disciplinary collaboration necessary to accelerate cancer immunotherapy from basic research to clinical impact.
