Meeting Summary

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a global crisis, with existing treatments increasingly failing against newly resistant pathogens. Recently, the application of artificial intelligence (AI) to antibiotic discovery and development has opened up unprecedented opportunities to combat AMR. By featuring this conference in the portfolio, we can spotlight the cutting-edge AI-driven approaches that are transforming how new treatments are identified, tested, and brought to market. This conference will bring together diverse expertise, including microbiologists, bioengineers, computational biologists, synthetic biologists, and immunologists, to share the latest advances developed to address this urgent health challenge.

The rapid evolution of machine learning techniques, coupled with greater computational power and more extensive biological datasets, makes this the ideal moment to convene experts and discuss AI-based solutions. These recent innovations in algorithm development, data analytics, and computational biology have the potential to accelerate breakthroughs in antibiotic design, pathogen surveillance, and predictive modeling for resistance.

Unique Career Development Opportunities

This meeting will feature a Career Roundtable where trainees and early-career investigators will have the opportunity to interact with field leaders from across academic and industry sectors for essential career development advice and networking opportunities.
