Dr. Tracie Locklear is a distinguished research assistant professor at North Carolina Central University, contributing her expertise to the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. With a profound background as a translational scientist and seasoned clinical researcher, Dr. Locklear specializes in women's health and minority health research.

Before joining North Carolina Central University, Dr. Locklear played pivotal roles at the renowned Duke Clinical Research Institute. There, she served in the Center for Learning Health Care and later transitioned to the Health Outcomes department, where she excelled as a clinical trial coordinator and project manager. Her work in these capacities focused on comprehending long-term health outcomes in patients through the innovative use of electronic patient-reported outcome surveys.

In her current role at North Carolina Central University, Dr. Locklear spearheads the newly established Clinical Research Sciences program within the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. As a dedicated translational scientist, she brings a wealth of experience to her position, contributing significantly to the academic and research landscape.
