Dr. Cynthia Rodriguez is a postdoctoral scholar at Cedars Sinai Medical Center working in Dr. Suzanne Devkota’s lab, investigating the role of microbes in the development of inflammatory bowel disease and obesity. She obtained her doctoral degree from the University of California at Irvine studying the ecological and evolutionary forces driving the assembly, coexistence, and functioning of gut microbiomes, while focusing on a group of bacteria called Bifidobacteria.
