Meeting Summary

Innate immunity is paramount for a healthy homeostasis of any organism. Despite immense advances, many scientific gaps exist. Understanding the fundamental principles of innate immunity via genetics, epigenetics, biochemistry, and systems immunology will advance knowledge and enable the engineering of novel therapies.

This Keystone Symposia conference on Innate Immunity: Genetics, Engineering, and Therapy is focused on innate immunity, but the scope is broad from the perspectives and technologies used to study it. Attendees will learn the latest in human immunogenomics, immunoepigenomics, and innate immunity affecting aging, autoinflammation, and cancer while experiencing the latest innovations in innate immune targeting in drug development. As such, inspiration and further collaborative advancements will follow.

The conference will bring together academic and industry researchers, as well as trainees, who will present the latest innovations in innate immunity as it relates to aging, autoimmunity, autoinflammation, cancer, epigenetics, and genetics as well as the latest in drug development. Anticipated outcomes are the advancement of junior investigators, community building, enhanced industry connections, and increased collaborations as well as the identification of new innate immunity frameworks.

Study and discovery of innate immune principles and advancement of medicine through innate immune modulation is in its exponential phase. By bringing together the latest fundamental scientific discoveries and the most innovative industry advances this conference will foster a unique community. The knowledge shared and the methods presented, coupled with the current thought leaders and trainees, will help to develop new academic and industry partnerships to benefit all.

Unique Career Development Opportunities

This meeting will feature a Career Roundtable where trainees and early-career investigators will have the opportunity to interact with field leaders from across academic and industry sectors for essential career development advice and networking opportunities.
