Meeting Summary
Remarkable progress in geroscience has ushered in a new era of gerotherapeutic drug development, which is making our ability to target the biology of aging, closer to a reality. Building upon immense progress in the field, these efforts are now being advanced by interdisciplinary teams of investigators in both academic and industry settings from around the globe, with the shared vision of devising strategies to extend healthy human lifespan. Given the rapidly evolving landscape of aging biomarkers, gerotherapeutics and related interventions, the goal of this meeting is to convene leading international experts pioneering these efforts to discuss the latest approaches, discoveries and advancements toward translation of the most promising strategies. State-of-the-art lectures and discussions will bring together unique perspectives on progress, trends, challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for the field. Presentations and panel discussions will cover an array of relevant topics, including Progress in Geromedicine and aging biomarkers, non-pharmacologic interventions, drug combinations, unique models and strategies for drug target identification, and cutting-edge developments and challenges in Longevity Biotech and regulatory pathways.
