Meeting Summary

About This Meeting:

Precision genome engineering is rapidly pushing the boundaries of what is possible with genome editing technologies and reshaping the future of genetic medicine. As the field evolves from proof-of-concept to therapeutic application, critical questions around efficiency, specificity, safety, delivery, and scalability remain.

This Keystone Symposia conference on Precision Genome Engineering: From Laboratory to Clinic will address these gaps by convening world leaders and emerging innovators to explore next-generation tools, delivery strategies, integrative technologies, and clinical findings that are redefining genome engineering. The program will showcase cutting-edge research while fostering cross-disciplinary dialogue and collaboration, with sessions covering innovation in editing systems, viral and non-viral delivery approaches, safety and specificity assessments, and the convergence of genome biology with artificial intelligence (AI). Keynote addresses and joint sessions will emphasize in vivo applications and translational readiness, providing a comprehensive view of the field's trajectory.

The meeting will bring together genome engineers, molecular biologists, delivery experts, AI scientists, and translational researchers, providing a dynamic platform to exchange ideas and form new collaborations. Joint programming with the Keystone Symposia conference on Targeted Delivery of Nucleic Acid Medicines and co-location of the Keystone Symposia conference on Genetic Medicines to Treat Cardiovascular Disease will foster the cross-disciplinary collaboration essential to advancing genome engineering toward clinical translation.

What sets this meeting apart is its deep focus on the precision and evolution of genome editing itself—ranging from mechanistic insights to therapeutic design—paired with timely discussions on how AI and delivery systems are accelerating discovery, positioning attendees to understand where the field is headed and how to contribute to its next breakthroughs.
