Liling Wan, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor with tenure in the Department of Cancer Biology at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, with appointments in the Abramson Family Cancer Research Institute and the Penn Epigenetics Institute. A leader in cancer epigenetics, chromatin regulation, and the study of biomolecular condensates in gene control, her research has helped define how dysregulated chromatin readers and aberrant nuclear condensates reshape oncogenic transcriptional programs, establishing condensate dysregulation as an emerging mechanism driving cancer and informing the development of targeted therapeutic strategies. She has organized meetings in cancer epigenetics and nuclear condensates, and her expertise in chromatin biology and condensate-driven gene dysregulation is central to the scientific goals of this meeting.

Bradley E. Bernstein, M.D., Ph.D., is Chair of Cancer Biology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, the Richard and Nancy Lubin Family Chair, Professor of Cell Biology and Pathology at Harvard Medical School, and an Institute Member at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. He also co-directs the Broad Institute's Epigenomics Program. A leader in epigenomics and cancer biology, his foundational contributions include mapping and interpreting chromatin states, regulatory elements, and epigenetic mechanisms governing cell identity and disease. He has mentored numerous trainees who now lead independent research programs, and his expertise in epigenomic technology, functional epigenomics, and cancer mechanisms is central to the scientific goals of this meeting.
