Alexander Hoffmann, PhD
University of California, Los Angeles
Alexander Hoffmann, Ph.D., is Professor of Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics and director of the Institute for Quantitative and Computational Biosciences at UCLA. Dr. Hoffman is a systems immunologist, trained in biochemistry, molecular cell biology, and computational biology. His research focuses on the signaling systems that control innate and adaptive immunity, especially in how NF?B and IRF signaling dynamics are regulated and how these pathways function in normal and disease states. He has organized numerous scientific conferences and meetings, including a past 2014 Keystone Symposia meeting.
Eicke Latz
University of Bonn
Eicke Latz, M.D., Ph.D., is Scientific Director of the German Rheumatology Research Center (DRFZ) and Professor of Experimental Rheumatology at Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Germany. Dr. Latz's work is crucial for understanding and developing treatments for chronic inflammatory diseases. Originally training as an intensive care physician, Dr. Latz later specialized in inflammation research, with a particular focus on how the innate immune system maintains health and under what circumstances it can promote disease. His research aims to translate findings into new therapeutic and preventive approaches. He has extensive experience in the organization of scientific symposia, including the 2016 Keystone Symposia conference on Myeloid Cells.
Stacey D Finley, PhD
University of Southern California
Stacey Finley, Ph.D., is Professor of Biomedical Engineering, and Quantitative & Computational Biology at the University of Southern California. She is a computational systems biologist whose research focuses on developing experimentally validated, mechanistic, multi-scale models that predict emergent properties of complex networks and how intracellular networks regulate cell function. She also has applied these insights to engineer cell behavior, especially in controlling tumor growth. She has co-chaired the NIH NCI Cancer Systems Biology Consortium and joint NCI/NSF Square Table Meetings on “Emergent Properties in Cancer Systems.”
