Jasmine Plummer, PhD
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
Jasmine Plummer, Ph.D., is an Associate Member in the Departments of Developmental Neurobiology and Cell & Molecular Biology at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, where she also serves as Director of the Center for Spatial OMICs. Her research focuses on single-cell systems biology, spatial genomics and proteomics, and genomic technology development, with an emphasis on understanding disease pathogenesis from cells of origin. Her work at the forefront of spatial omics has contributed to new approaches in quality control and single-cell RNA imaging that are advancing both basic research and cancer biology.
Musa M. Mhlanga, PhD
Radboud Institute for Molecular Life Sciences
Musa Mhlanga, Ph.D., is a Professor at Radboud University & Radboud University Medical Center, and a member of the Departments of Internal Medicine & Human Genetics. His research investigates how the epigenome and the three-dimensional architecture of the genome encode memory in cells, with particular emphasis on long noncoding RNAs as regulators of genome organization and gene expression. Using the innate immune system as a model, his lab studies how cells acquire and retain inflammatory and trained-immune states, integrating single-cell genomics, spatial transcriptomics, multi-omics, and advanced imaging in translational models of disease. He received his Ph.D. from New York University School of Medicine and trained as a postdoctoral fellow at the Institut Pasteur in Paris as a U.S. National Science Foundation fellow. He is a scientific founder of two biotech companies and a board member of the Human Cell Atlas where he co-chairs the Equity Working Group and a member of the Organizing Committee.
