Zach Gerhart-Hines, PhD

Zach Gerhart-Hines, Ph.D., is a Professor at the University of Copenhagen whose research focuses on the molecular and physiological regulation of energy expenditure, adipose tissue function, and systemic metabolic homeostasis. He has made significant contributions to understanding how hormonal and neuronal signals coordinate mitochondrial metabolism and thermogenesis, and he is actively engaged in translating these insights toward novel obesity therapeutics, including growth hormone–based strategies. Dr. Gerhart-Hines has extensive experience in leading multidisciplinary research programs and in organizing scientific meetings that bridge basic and translational metabolism.
Richard D DiMarchi, PhD
Indiana University
Richard DiMarchi, Ph.D., is a Distinguished Professor of Chemistry at Indiana University and a pioneer in the discovery and development of peptide-based therapeutics for diabetes and obesity. His work has been central to the design of GLP-1 analogs, dual and triple incretin agonists, and other polyagonist platforms that have advanced from concept to clinical reality. Dr. DiMarchi brings deep expertise at the interface of peptide chemistry, pharmacology, and drug development, as well as extensive experience founding companies and organizing high-impact scientific conferences.
Fiona M. Gribble, PhD
University of Cambridge
Fiona Gribble, M.D., Ph.D., is a Professor of Endocrine Physiology at the University of Cambridge whose research has defined fundamental aspects of gut endocrine cell biology, nutrient sensing, and gut–brain communication. She has been instrumental in elucidating how GLP-1, GIP, and related hormones are secreted and integrated into whole-body metabolic control, providing a critical mechanistic foundation for current incretin-based therapies. Dr. Gribble has a strong record of collaborative leadership and meeting organization, spanning basic physiology, human studies, and translational endocrinology.
