Ryan A. Langlois, PhD
University of Minnesota
Ryan A. Langlois, Ph.D. is a professor in the department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Minnesota. His research focuses on developing novel model systems to study virus-host interactions and cross species virus replication. Dr. Langlois served for 5 years on the executive organizing committee for the Autumn Immunology meeting and was a local organizer for the American Society for Virology in 2019.
Ken H Cadwell, PhD

Ken Cadwell, Ph.D., is the T. Grier Miller Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine and the Director of the UPENN Digestive and Liver Center. His research focuses how our immune system has adapted to the assortment of microbes we encounter throughout our lives, including the enteric virome. In addition to his current role as Director the NIH-funded P30 Center, Dr. Cadwell has extensive leadership experience including Directing the Gnotobiotics Core, organizing local and international meetings such as the Cold Spring Harbor Asia meeting on Microbiome and Barrier Immunity, and serving as Chair of the Damon Runyon Fellowship Panel.
Jemma Geoghegan, PhD

Jemma Geoghegan, Ph.D., is a professor and Robert Webster Chair in Viral Pathogenesis in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Otago, New Zealand. She is an evolutionary virologist with a strong research focus on emerging infectious disease. Her research focuses on determining the fundamental patterns and processes of viral evolution, ecology and emergence. Jemma's research involves using metagenomics to reveal the diversity, structure and evolution of the virosphere; examining the evolution of major viral infections; and developing new analytical approaches to analyze aspects of virus evolution.
