Embassy & Visa Information

Due to the constantly changing nature of travel, we urge people to research their own travel requirements. This includes Passport and Visa requirements, documentation for re-entry into country of residence and any other identification needed. Please allow sufficient time in advance of the meeting for processing of all necessary documentation.

Most foreign nationals need a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to travel to Canada. Find out if you need a visa to travel to Canada, or view the full list of countries requiring a visa or eTA.

Temporary Resident Visa (TRV)

Please refer to our step-by-step visa guide to learn about the TRV process. If you need to apply for a TRV, please contact Keystone Symposia to request an invitation letter with an event code, if applicable. Email us with your full name (as it appears on your passport), citizenship, and your visa application number once you receive it, so we can submit this information to Canadian visa officers on your behalf.

Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA)

Since November 10, 2016, visa-exempt foreign nationals must have an Electronic Travel Authorization to fly to or transit through Canada. Exceptions include U.S. citizens and travelers with a valid Canadian visa.  Refer to this step-by-step eTA guide for help completing your application.

U.S. citizens traveling to Canada can find additional information here.
