Herrenhausen Palace is used as a museum and venue for scientific conferences. It is the centerpiece of the Herrenhausen Gardens, one of the most important baroque gardens in Europe. Herrenhausen Palace is located about 10 minutes outside the city center of Hannover and accessed by a fast and efficient public transportation system from the Kropcke station. Recommended hotels are all within 15-20 minutes of travel time from the conference location and only 5 minutes walking from the main train and Kropcke light rail station. The Hannover airport is 11 km from the city center. Hannover is a city in a countryside setting, featuring the Eilenriede City Forest ranging across 650 hectares – twice as large as Central Park in New York.
