Meeting Summary

Vaccines are an effective tool in medicine, yet unmet needs persist—from durable protection against infectious diseases to vaccines for cancer and chronic diseases—that limit their impact. Breakthroughs in science are reshaping the field and redefining how vaccines are discovered, designed, evaluated, and deployed.

This Keystone Symposia conference on Vaccinology: Next-Generation Advances in Transforming Immunity will explore precision and systems vaccinology, tissue-targeted immune responses, correlates of immunity, and structure-guided antigen design. Attendees will learn about new methodologies for vaccine evaluation including adaptive and real-world clinical trial methodologies and novel technologies for vaccine design and delivery. In parallel, the conference explores new frontiers for vaccines, including cancer, allergy, and inflammatory diseases, as well as solutions for global health challenges and equitable access to vaccines.

A core strength of this meeting is its cross-disciplinary integration, bringing together global leaders across immunology, clinical development, data science, public health, and industry—communities that rarely converge in a single forum. Collaboration across disciplines and sectors is further fostered by joint programming with the Keystone Symposia on Ending HIV: At the Crossroads of Innovation and Delivery.

The meeting reflects the full spectrum of vaccine development by emphasizing both discovery and implementation. By showcasing cutting-edge discoveries and translational strategies that challenge conventional paradigms and accelerate impact from bench to population the meeting positions itself as a unique, forward-looking forum that will shape the next era of vaccinology.

Unique Career Development Opportunities

This meeting will feature a Career Roundtable where trainees and early-career investigators will have the opportunity to interact with field leaders from across academic and industry sectors for essential career development advice and networking opportunities.
