Meeting Summary
T cells are highly diverse and multifunctional components of the adaptive immune system, playing vital roles in health and disease, including inflammation, cancer, autoimmune disorders, and infections. This conference aims to foster collaboration between basic, translational, and clinical scientists from academia and industry, ensuring that cutting-edge discoveries in T cell biology and emerging technologies advance both fundamental research and clinical/therapeutic applications. Topics and meeting sessions include: (i) T cell differentiation, molecular programs, and the functional diversity of CD4+, CD8+, and gamma delta T cell differentiation, and unconventional (innate-like) T cells. (ii) the role of spatial instructions in controlling T cell function (iii) innovative approaches and technologies, such as advanced imaging, next-generation T cell engineering and (re)programming, and AI-driven methods for disease detection and treatment. Additionally, joint sessions with the Innate Immunity meeting will explore how innate immune pathways regulate T cell behavior under homeostatic and disease conditions, and how these pathways can be harnessed for therapeutic interventions. Trainees and Junior Faculty are encouraged to submit abstracts which will be selected for Short Talks and Spotlights Afternoon Sessions.
