Meeting Summary

Joint Meeting

This meeting runs jointly with Innate Immunity: Molecular Mechanisms, Diseases & Therapeutics.

About This Meeting

T cells are highly diverse and multifunctional components of the adaptive immune system, playing vital roles in health and disease, including inflammation, cancer, autoimmune disorders, and infections. Advancing T cell biology from fundamental discoveries to clinical and therapeutic applications requires collaboration between basic, translational, and clinical scientists from academia and industry.

This Keystone Symposia conference on T Cells: From Basic Biology to Therapeutic Applications will examine how emerging discoveries in T cell biology are reshaping both fundamental immunology and clinical translation. Sessions will explore: T cell differentiation, molecular programs, and the functional diversity of CD4+, CD8+, gamma delta, and unconventional (innate-like) T cells; the role of spatial instructions in controlling T cell function; and innovative approaches and technologies, such as advanced imaging, next-generation T cell engineering and (re)programming, and AI-driven methods for disease detection and treatment.

The meeting is strengthened through joint sessions with the Keystone Symposia conference on Innate Immunity: Molecular Mechanism, Diseases and Therapeutics, which will explore how innate immune pathways regulate T cell behavior under homeostatic and disease conditions and how these pathways can be harnessed for therapeutic interventions. By convening researchers across basic and translational immunology, including clinicians and researchers from industry, this meeting supports future interdisciplinary collaborations that bridge fundamental T cell biology with clinical translation.

This meeting positions itself as a unique forum that drives growth and enhances clinical impacts derived from T cell-related biology, positioning the field to accelerate the translation of discoveries into therapeutic applications.

In the video below, Dr. Daniel Campbell, PhD (Benaroya Research Institute) and Dr. Andrea Schietinger, PhD (Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center) talk about what to expect from this meeting and why you should attend:
